Description For GPU Design Verification Engineer

Apple's Silicon Technologies group is seeking a GPU Design Verification Engineer to join their team working on next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) designs. This role combines software engineering expertise with graphics hardware architecture, making it an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about hardware verification.

The position involves working with the GPU Design Verification team, responsible for verifying sub-blocks within Apple's GPU architecture. You'll be deeply involved in ensuring the quality and functionality of crucial GPU components that power Apple's renowned devices. Your work will directly impact millions of users who rely on Apple's graphics performance in their daily activities.

Key responsibilities include developing test plans for block-level functionality, creating complex verification software components, and collaborating closely with the design team for debugging. You'll work across different levels - from individual sub-blocks to entire subsystems - requiring both detailed technical knowledge and system-level understanding.

The role offers competitive compensation ($121,900 - $183,600) and comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, retirement benefits, and equity opportunities through RSUs and ESPP. You'll be part of Apple's culture of innovation, working with cutting-edge technology in GPU design and verification.

This position requires a strong foundation in computer architecture, experience with hardware description languages (Verilog/SystemVerilog), and solid programming skills. Knowledge of GPU architecture and verification methodologies is highly valued. You'll be based in Santa Clara, California, at the heart of Apple's hardware engineering efforts.

Join Apple's Silicon Technologies group to help create the next generation of GPU technology that powers millions of devices worldwide. This role offers the perfect blend of hardware and software engineering, with opportunities to grow your expertise in both domains while working on industry-leading technology.
