Description For GPU Silicon Validation Engineer

Apple's GPU Silicon Validation Team is seeking an experienced engineer to join their Hardware division. As part of the Silicon Technologies group, you'll be responsible for validating the functional operation, electrical behavior, power, and performance of Apple's embedded GPUs. The role involves working closely with design, verification, productization, hardware and software teams to enable world-class GPUs in the embedded space.

You'll be involved in test planning, execution, data analysis, failure triage, and tool development. Key responsibilities include functional testing, silicon characterization, analyzing and reporting results, power and performance validation, and triaging complex hardware and software issues. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in silicon validation, system architectures, and programming skills.

Responsibilities For GPU Silicon Validation Engineer

  • Execute and communicate plans to validate the GPU silicon functionally and electrically
  • Lead debug efforts as required
  • Identify and drive improvements in validation and debug methodology and tools
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on manufacturing test suites, debug, and improvements
  • Lead fail triage and debug of underlying embedded GPU issues
  • Support all GPU silicon validation tasks as needed
  • Maintain, develop, and improve automation tools for validation and debug
  • Configure system HW and SW for silicon validation

Requirements For GPU Silicon Validation Engineer

Python
  • BS + 3 years relevant experience
  • Previous silicon validation experience required
  • Experience in C/C++ and scripting languages (python, TCL/expect)
  • Experience with system and SOC architectures
  • Experience with CPU or GPU architectures
