The GPU Platform Architecture Team is seeking a highly motivated, innovative engineer to drive advanced exploration for next generation GPU architectures in iPhone, iPad and Mac products. This role involves working with architecture, design and software partners on the definition & tuning of Apple's future GPU Power architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • C++ and Python code development for GPU models
  • Understanding and enhancing power architecture of Apple's GPUs
  • Collaborating with GPU architects, RTL designers & software teams
  • Assessing feasibility of new hardware and software power features
  • Running experiments and reporting results
  • Building and maintaining GPU models

This is a highly visible role at the center of chip design efforts, working across all disciplines with critical impact on delivering high-performance products to millions of customers. You'll be part of Apple's world-class GPU team focused on developing and improving GPU modeling and features for power architecture.

Requirements For Graphics Power Architect, Platform Architecture

Python
  • BS degree
  • Experience in GPU or CPU architecture and micro-architecture design
  • Software skills and proficiency in C/C++ and a scripting language such as Python or Ruby
