Responsibilities For Hardware Product Design Engineer - Mac Engineering
- Collaborate with industrial designers, product integrity, hardware, software, and technology groups
- Develop initial product layouts
- Generate concepts, prototype, demonstrate & test to drive down-selection
- Partner with external vendors & internal manufacturing teams
- Optimize designs for function, cosmetics and manufacturability
- Perform stress, tolerance, and failure analyses
- Support factory builds in Asia
Requirements For Hardware Product Design Engineer - Mac Engineering
- B.S. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years experience in a mechanical engineering role
- Engineering fundamentals: solid mechanics, material science, heat transfer, mechanism design, manufacturing
- Excellent communication skills: both written and verbal
- Ability to travel up to 20% in Asia
