Responsibilities For Hardware Systems Engineer

  • Design, develop, and characterize prototype hardware for proof-of-concept systems
  • Investigate technology interactions with human body (electromagnetic, optical, acoustical, mechanical)
  • Architect and design multi-layer, high-density printed circuit boards
  • Build and test functional prototype systems
  • Support internal customers of circuit boards, firmware, and prototype systems
  • Design and 3D-print mechanical fixtures
  • Lead multiple projects and manage cross-functional dependencies

Requirements For Hardware Systems Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (Electrical or Biomedical), Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience designing and building multi-layer, high-density printed circuit boards
  • Experience creating user interface programs
  • Experience with C/C++ for real-time embedded applications
  • Experience with Oscilloscope for testing and debugging
  • Experience with soldering and rework tools
  • Experience creating prototype circuits
  • Experience modifying and extending printed circuit board hardware
  • Experience managing procurement of components and circuit boards
  • Experience with 3D CAD software and 3D printing
