Description For Mixed-Signal Behavioral Modeling Engineer

At Apple, we work every single day to craft products that enrich people's lives. As a Mixed-Signal Behavioral Modeling Engineer, you'll join our dynamic group working on challenges that no one has solved yet. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within the mixed-signal design team to model complex custom circuits for system-level functionality and performance verification.

You'll be responsible for writing functional models of custom mixed-signal circuits in SystemVerilog, incorporating non-idealities while maintaining the right level of detail. The position involves close collaboration with circuit design teams to understand custom circuit details and with DV teams to implement effective verification hooks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing circuit team data using Python/MATLAB for model fitting
  • Running simulations and formal equivalence tools for circuit matching
  • Enhancing modeling methodology and optimizing modeling flows
  • Working with experts to improve functional coverage
  • Implementing tools to identify custom circuit issues

This is a rewarding cross-disciplinary position that offers the chance to work on state-of-the-art mixed-signal systems used in Apple's world-leading SoCs. You'll be at the forefront of shaping the cutting edge of the behavioral model field.

The role offers comprehensive benefits including medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, stock programs, educational reimbursement, and various discounted products and services. Base pay ranges from $166,600 to $296,300, complemented by potential discretionary bonuses, commission payments, and relocation benefits.
