Description For Product Security Engineer Enterprise Technology Services

Apple is seeking a highly motivated Product Security Engineer to join their Crypto Services team, which is responsible for protecting some of the most sensitive data at Apple - cryptographic keys. This role is part of the team that runs Apple's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and partners with Public PKI Certification Authorities (CAs).

The position involves leading critical security initiatives including managing Apple's Root Programs, participating in industry standards groups, and shaping policies that govern Public CAs. You'll be responsible for managing decisions related to root inclusions, modifications, and removals while working with a cross-functional team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading an internal team for root management decisions
  • Reviewing CA owner applications and compliance
  • Enhancing program policies for Root Store management
  • Participating in the CA/Browser Forum as Apple's representative
  • Contributing to Apple's CT policy and log program
  • Collaborating with stakeholders on PKI initiatives

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of program management experience, deep PKI knowledge, and expert understanding of industry standards. Strong communication skills are essential as you'll be working with various stakeholders both internally and externally.
