Senior Staff Security Engineer - Red Team

We are the Apple Services Engineering (ASE) Security Red Team, focused on conducting deep technical security reviews of critical ASE services and infrastructure. This senior staff position involves leading security assessments that strengthen our defense capabilities.

In this role, you will:

• Lead focused security reviews on critical internet-scale applications and infrastructure
• Work closely with security engineering, InfoSec, privacy, SRE, and detection teams
• Identify security weaknesses and validate detection mechanisms
• Provide actionable recommendations to enhance security posture
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams
• Develop repeatable testing frameworks and metrics-driven improvements
• Scope and execute meaningful security reviews based on service architecture and risk profiles
• Build relationships with engineering and leadership to drive security improvements
• Stay current on security technologies, vulnerabilities, and methodologies
• Develop proof of concept systems to automate security processes
