Site Reliability Engineer, Data Analytics

At Apple, the Data Analytics team is dedicated to enhancing user experience through improved operating system stability, feature usage telemetry, and device performance evaluation. The team develops and operates various Big Data infrastructure products and applications, working with privacy-preserving techniques and data aggregation to inform direction.

As a Site Reliability Engineer on the data analytics team, you'll tackle large-scale problems and help Apple engineers address critical questions about their hardware, firmware, and software stability and performance. You'll be responsible for writing automation code to ensure reliability and managing thousands of compute and storage instances across a heterogeneous infrastructure. The role involves diving deep into complex data and application issues for root cause analysis.

You'll work collaboratively with teammates and peers, applying critical thinking skills and understanding of complex distributed systems to solve problems. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to major Apple applications like Apple Intelligence and Safari, while also helping improve macOS and iOS performance.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in cloud services, big data technologies, and distributed systems.
