Description For Software Engineer (Accessibility Engineer), IS&T

At Apple, we're looking for a passionate Web Accessibility Engineer to join our IS&T team. This role sits within Apple's IS&T Accessibility Center of Excellence, a group dedicated to promoting and supporting accessibility across the company. As an Accessibility Engineer, you'll work on ensuring Apple's internal tools and solutions meet the highest accessibility standards.

You'll be responsible for auditing both new and existing solutions, collaborating with teams throughout project lifecycles, and serving as an accessibility expert. The role requires deep knowledge of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS) combined with strong accessibility expertise, including WCAG guidelines and assistive technologies.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrated expertise in web technologies and accessibility testing methodologies. You'll need to be proficient with WCAG 2.x guidelines, WAI-ARIA, and have hands-on experience with assistive technologies like VoiceOver, JAWS, and NVDA.
