SRE Engineer

As an SRE in the Wallet, Payments & Commerce (WPC) Engineering Operations team, you'll be responsible for critical payment infrastructure that powers Apple's online store, retail stores, and App Store transactions. The role involves working with both open source and internal tools for system management, provisioning, deployment, and monitoring.

You'll be part of a collaborative team that works closely with development teams to deliver optimal results. The position requires strong problem-solving skills using data and expertise, with ownership of the full technology stack. You'll manage and improve tools for system configuration, software deployment, and monitoring while balancing innovative solutions with practical implementation.

The WPC organization handles everything related to Apple Wallet and payments, including building the infrastructure that enables all payments at Apple and powers features like Tap to Pay on iPhone. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale systems that process payments globally while maintaining high availability and security standards.

• Managing and scaling distributed systems in cloud environments
• Implementing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems
• Participating in incident management and on-call rotations
• Automating processes to improve efficiency and reliability
