Tools and Automation Engineer

The Central Automation and Tools team is seeking a passionate engineer to improve quality engineering workflows across automation, tools and data.

In this role, you'll be part of a software engineering team focused on QE strategies to achieve a high bar of quality through automation and workflow enhancements. You'll make an impact across multiple software engineering teams by driving the development and implementation of best practices for qualifying end-to-end features. The position involves building novel software prototypes, tools, and automation for improving the quality of Apple's operating systems.

The Central Automation and Tools team is responsible for improving all facets of using automation in QE workflows. This includes analyzing workflows, data and tools that help teams make automation an effective, efficient element of their testing strategy. You'll work closely with Developers, Quality Assurance Engineers and Automation Engineers across Apple to implement innovative solutions.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys collaboration and exploring how groundbreaking technology can solve challenging problems that benefit many teams. You'll need strong development skills in languages like Swift, Objective-C, or C++, along with solid computer science fundamentals. Experience with XCTest, Xcode, and automated testing is highly valued.
