Description For Virtual Prototype Developer

Join Apple's Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems (WTE) organization as a Virtual Prototype Developer, working on cutting-edge wireless Satellite technologies. As part of the pre-silicon team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop virtual platforms for next-generation cellular and connectivity solutions. The role involves sophisticated modeling of SOC architectures, simulation development, and integration of hybrid systems.

You'll be responsible for creating new simulation models, working with hardware specifications, and implementing register descriptions. The position requires expertise in SystemC/Virtualizer/Simics development and a deep understanding of CPU subsystems and SOC architecture. You'll work closely with software, SOC, and systems engineering teams to translate hardware requirements into simulation specifications.

Responsibilities For Virtual Prototype Developer

  • Work with SOC, SE, and software partners on creation of virtual platform for next-generation cellular and connectivity teams
  • Model new IP's of cellular SOC's and integration of subsystems
  • Develop new simulation models by reading HW specs and using register description files
  • Integrate hybrid simulation to create complete SOC
  • Integrate cycle-accurate CPU models for architecture exploration activities
  • Collaborate with SW, SOC and SE teams to understand new HW delta's
  • Define pre-silicon strategy for simulation and FPGA platforms

Requirements For Virtual Prototype Developer

Linux
  • Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Computer Sciences, Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in SystemC/Virtualizer/Simics development
  • Good understanding of CPU subsystems and SOC architecture
