Description For Lead Zero Trust Engineer

Ardent is seeking a Lead Zero Trust Engineer to join their team in a fully remote position. This role supports an innovative Federal Agency and requires collaboration with Product owners, developers, cloud engineers, and operations support personnel to plan, design, test, and deliver Zero Trust (ZT) Architectures and SecDevOps solutions.

The ideal candidate will lead teams in building comprehensive zero trust solutions encompassing Users, Applications, and Infrastructure. They will work within an Agile SDLC framework, managing multiple project phases and serving as a subject matter expert in SecDevOps best practices. The role involves significant work with AWS and multi-cloud environments, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities include coordinating coding and unit testing, managing secure deployments, and working with various technologies including Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud services. The position requires deep expertise in security aspects such as user credentials, authentication, SSO, and security analytics.

Requirements include U.S. citizenship, a bachelor's degree in a related field, 10+ years of software development experience, and 7+ years of combined software development and technical operations support experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with both monolithic and microservice architectures, strong AWS knowledge, and proven project management abilities.

Responsibilities For Lead Zero Trust Engineer

  • Leads teams with building comprehensive zero trust solutions that encompasses Users, Applications and Infrastructure
  • Coordinate coding and unit testing phases of system development
  • Manages delivery on all projects and commitments
  • Serve as subject matter expert for leading Best practices across SecDevOps, CICD
  • Managing, building, configuring, administering components of SecDevOps environment
  • Developing and maintaining secure deployments to AWS and multi-cloud environment
  • Working with project teams to integrate products into Zero Trust, SecDevOps environment
  • Document, schedule, and executes software scans, builds and deployments
  • Design, configure, and support software build/deploy pipelines

Requirements For Lead Zero Trust Engineer

Kubernetes
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • 10+ years of software development experience
  • 7+ years of experience in software development and technical operations support
  • Deep understanding of user credentials, identities, authentication, SSO
  • Experience with monolith and micro service architectures using containerization and Kubernetes
  • Cloud-Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) compliant software stack
  • Expert knowledge of Branching, Merging, and Archiving software
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools
  • GovCon experience preferred
  • Technical lead experience preferred
