Senior Software Engineer, Product

Asana is seeking experienced software engineers to join their product engineering group in New York, focusing on building core features for the Asana product. The role involves improving work management within and across teams, helping team leads and individual contributors plan and execute their work, and supporting senior managers in monitoring complex initiatives.

The position requires working full-stack to design, build, and release new functionalities used by millions of Asana users. Key responsibilities include making consistent contributions to Asana's core product, mentoring other engineers through activities like pairing and code reviews, owning technical design and execution for medium and large projects, and partnering with Tech Leads to drive technical strategy.

Ideal candidates should have 5+ years of experience working in large codebases, 1+ years leading complex projects, and strong judgment in balancing speed with code quality. Experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders and PM/Design partners is essential.

The role offers a comprehensive compensation package including base salary ($171,000 - $258,000), equity, and extensive benefits. The position follows an office-centric hybrid schedule based in New York City, with standard in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
