Senior Software Engineer, Product

Asana is seeking experienced software engineers to join their product engineering group in New York, focusing on building core features for the Asana product. The role involves improving work management within and across teams, helping team leads and individual contributors plan and execute their work, and supporting senior managers in monitoring complex initiatives.

The position requires working in an office-centric hybrid schedule with Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday as in-office days. Working from home is possible on Wednesdays, while Friday arrangements depend on specific work requirements and team partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Full-stack development to design, build and release features used by millions of users
• Contributing to Asana's core product with focus on technical challenges and quality improvement
• Mentoring other engineers through pairing and code reviews
• Owning technical design and execution for medium/large projects
• Partnering with Tech Lead on technical strategy

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience with large codebases
• 1+ years leading complex projects
• Strong judgment in balancing speed with code quality
• Cross-functional collaboration experience
• Passion for productivity and team collaboration
