Senior Software Engineer, Product

Asana is seeking experienced software engineers to join their product engineering group in New York, focusing on building core features for work management within and across teams. The role involves full-stack development, designing and implementing features that help team leads plan and execute work, while enabling senior managers to monitor complex initiatives.

The position requires working in an office-centric hybrid schedule (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office, with flexible Wednesday/Friday arrangements). Engineers will contribute to Asana's core product, tackle technical challenges, and promote technical excellence through mentoring and code reviews.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and building new functionalities used by millions of users
• Making consistent contributions to core product development
• Mentoring other engineers through pair programming and code reviews
• Leading technical design and execution for medium/large projects
• Partnering with Tech Leads on technical strategy

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience with large codebases
• 1+ years leading complex projects
• Strong judgment in balancing speed with code quality
• Cross-functional collaboration experience
• Passion for productivity and team collaboration
