Description For Airflow Reliability Engineer

Astronomer is seeking an Airflow Reliability Engineer to join their Customer Reliability Engineering (CRE) team, offering a unique opportunity to become an Apache Airflow expert while working with industry leaders. Responsibilities For Airflow Reliability Engineer

  • Provide Apache Airflow expertise to customers
  • Help customers optimize configuration and identify Airflow issues
  • Contribute to open-source Airflow repository
  • Develop internal monitoring and alerting systems
  • Work directly with customers' technical teams
  • Provide feedback to shape Airflow project direction
  • Maintain 24x7 coverage during specified 6-hour pager period
  • Participate in paid on-call rotation for weekend coverage

Requirements For Airflow Reliability Engineer

  • Four years of professional experience (any industry)
  • Proven proficiency in Python, with a minimum of two years of experience
  • Experience with Kubernetes/Docker/Containers
  • Experience working with a distributed system with any major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Work well with autonomy and independence
  • Strong written and verbal communication
