Senior Customer Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure

Astronomer is seeking a Senior Customer Reliability Engineer to join their Infrastructure team, focusing on their managed Airflow service. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, making it ideal for engineers who excel at both infrastructure management and customer success.

The position involves working with Astronomer's sophisticated cloud-native platform, where you'll be responsible for maintaining and optimizing customer environments across various cloud providers. You'll work specifically during the hours of 12PM to 6PM PST, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours for the remaining work time.

As a CRE, you'll be at the intersection of infrastructure reliability and customer success, managing Kubernetes clusters, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring systems. The role requires strong technical skills in areas like Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), Linux, and Python, combined with excellent customer communication abilities.

The team operates in a fully distributed, remote-first environment, offering the opportunity to work with diverse customer requirements and technical challenges.
