Senior Software Engineer - Infrastructure Focus

Astronomer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with an infrastructure focus to join their R&D team. This role is crucial in developing and managing the infrastructure that powers their flagship product, Astro, which is built on Apache Airflow®. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale distributed systems, managing hundreds (and eventually thousands) of Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will be part of the dataplane management team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure that runs customer workloads. This role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and a strong background in languages like Golang or Java. You'll be working on critical features such as workload identity, multitenancy, cross-region disaster recovery, and cloud quota management.
