Description For Quality Assurance Engineer

At Audible, a leading producer of audio storytelling, we're seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role combines technical expertise with a passion for quality, working within our QA organization that promotes product excellence through well-defined processes and comprehensive quality assessment.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $75,700 to $183,100, depending on location and experience. As a QA Engineer, you'll be instrumental in executing test strategies, performing both automated and manual testing, and ensuring the highest quality standards for our audio products that reach millions of global listeners.

Your responsibilities will span the entire testing lifecycle - from reviewing technical requirements and architecture to implementing QA strategies and driving quality processes. You'll work closely with Software Development Engineers, Product Managers, and UX teams, contributing to a collaborative environment that values innovation and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of QA engineering experience, with strong capabilities in both automated and manual testing, particularly with tools like Selenium for UI and API testing. You'll be responsible for finding, documenting, and tracking bugs, while also generating metrics and insights to continuously improve our development practices.

Responsibilities For Quality Assurance Engineer

  • Execute test strategy, test plans, and test cases while utilizing automated tools
  • Perform exploratory testing and automate repetitive tasks
  • Review user interfaces for conformity and functionality
  • Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs until resolution
  • Implement QA strategy and drive product quality processes
  • Review designs and architecture to draft automation test plans
  • Write test plans and cases, performing manual and automated testing
  • Generate metrics and insights to improve development practices
  • Review technical requirements and software design specifications
