Auria is seeking a Software Engineer / Product Owner to join their Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs. This mid-level position combines technical leadership with hands-on Java development for critical missile defense systems. The role involves leading the GloMA team while contributing to a large-scale distributed system that enables U.S. military leadership to manage ballistic missile defense operations. The position offers competitive compensation ($134,000 - $145,000) and requires a TOP SECRET security clearance. The ideal candidate will have strong Java development skills, leadership capabilities, and experience with military command and control systems. Responsibilities For Software Engineer / Product Owner
- Serve as Product Owner of the GloMA team
- Software development using Java
- Provide leadership for a software team
- Perform complex problem resolution
- Assist software team in design, development, testing, integration, and user-support
- Develop or modify stories for the software team
- Assist in removing blockers from software team
- Interface with other system support groups and software leadership
Requirements For Software Engineer / Product Owner
- Current/active DoD issued TOP SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 8 years experience, or Master's with 6 years, or PhD with 4 years, or 12 years experience
- Java experience
- Knowledge of software practices and coding standards
- Strong problem solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or with a small group
- Flexibility in a dynamic environment
