Axon is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer II to join their APX SRE organization in London. This role focuses on delivering solutions for mission-critical cloud native services and maintaining high reliability standards. The position involves building foundational platforms, implementing cloud-native best practices, and supporting the entire engineering organization. Working in a hybrid model (3-4 days onsite), you'll be responsible for developing robust tools, debugging distributed systems, and driving architectural improvements. The role requires extensive experience in cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and various programming languages, offering competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities For Senior Site Reliability Engineer II
- Build robust, easy-to-use foundational platforms and tools for service provisioning
- Exemplify cloud-native site reliability best practices
- Write performant, maintainable, clear, and concise code
- Debug problems in cloud-native distributed systems
- Influence and educate engineering organization on architectural patterns
- Provide robust documentation for engineer self-service
- Participate in on-call rotation (1 week every 6 weeks)
Requirements For Senior Site Reliability Engineer II
- Ability to obtain UK SC level clearance
- 10+ years of applicable experience
- Experience managing cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Experience operating Kubernetes platforms (AKS, EKS)
- Experience using languages like Python, Go, C#, Java
- Experience with code collaboration tools (GitHub, ArgoCD)
- Experience with CI/CD platforms
- Experience with observability tools (APM, logging, metrics)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Cloudformation)
- Experience designing tooling for SaaS/PaaS systems management
- Familiarity with building flexible Infrastructure as Code modules
- Empathy to support software engineers' needs
