Senior Privacy Engineer

Axon is seeking a Senior Privacy Engineer to join their mission of protecting life through innovative safety and justice solutions. This role combines technical leadership with privacy expertise, focusing on building and maintaining critical backend systems that ensure data compliance and privacy across Axon's ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud services, system design, and privacy-enhancing technologies. They'll work from any of Axon's US R&D Hubs (San Francisco, Seattle, Scottsdale, Atlanta, or Boston) in a hybrid setup, reporting to the Global Head of Privacy.

The position requires expertise in designing highly-available, scalable cloud systems and experience with modern backend technologies including microservices, Kubernetes, and various programming languages. The role involves not just technical work but also mentoring other engineers and collaborating with product managers and designers to build privacy solutions that serve law enforcement and first responders.
