B. F. Saul Company, established in 1892, is seeking a Lead Engineer for their property management division. This role combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, overseeing building systems and maintenance operations for their extensive portfolio of commercial properties. The position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000-$105,000 and includes comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of building engineering experience and will be responsible for maintaining HVAC systems, electrical controls, and general building operations. They will also provide supervision to the Maintenance Engineering Team when the Chief Engineer is unavailable. The role requires both technical proficiency and strong communication skills.

Key responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, monitoring building systems, responding to emergencies 24/7, and ensuring proper documentation of all maintenance activities. Responsibilities For Lead Engineer

  • Supervise Maintenance Engineering Team in Chief Engineer's absence
  • Maintain and repair HVAC equipment
  • Monitor temperature and humidity in occupied areas
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections
  • Maintain electrical controls and equipment
  • Document daily operations and maintenance activities
  • Respond to building emergencies
  • Direct and monitor contractors
  • Perform facility cleaning and maintenance tasks

Requirements For Lead Engineer

  • High School graduate or G.E.D. Certificate preferred
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the Building Engineering field
  • CFC Universal preferred
  • State or local licensing preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Knowledge of maintenance engineering disciplines
  • Available for 24-hour emergency response
