Principle Engineer

Bank of America is seeking a Principal Engineer to join their Enterprise Payments Technology (EPT) team, a global payments organization that handles approximately $693 trillion through 18.8 billion transactions annually. This role will be part of the Merchant Business Software Suite (MBSS) team, working on a large-scale program to develop scalable point-of-sale software across multiple industry verticals.

The position requires a technical leader who will define and drive engineering approaches at the program/portfolio level, delivering significant business outcomes. You'll be responsible for improving solution design, quality, and reuse while implementing technology enablers that enhance development efficiencies. The role involves working with Architecture teams, leading complex feature planning and design, and providing technical oversight across multiple teams.

As a Principal Engineer, you'll be instrumental in exploring and implementing state-of-the-art technologies, leading end-to-end test strategies, and enabling CI/CD capabilities. The position requires expertise in merchant services, payments systems, and point-of-sale technologies, with a focus on delivering robust, scalable solutions that serve millions of consumer and business relationships.
