Senior DevOps Platform Engineer

Belvedere Trading, a premier proprietary trading firm in downtown Chicago, is seeking a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer to join their technology team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to shape the direction of their CI/CD platform, cloud architecture, and DevOps strategy.

The position sits within their data team, which is dedicated to delivering high-quality data solutions to core and affiliated groups. The team supports end-users who leverage data for performance analytics and depend on SQL Server infrastructure for production trading systems. They ensure properly curated data is available for complex analytics and data-driven decisions.

As a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer, you'll be instrumental in providing a cohesive environment that empowers other teams to build amazing applications that drive trading. The role focuses on cloud engineering, automating workflows, CI/CD, and building a platform that enhances developer effectiveness and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include expanding CI/CD systems, managing Kubernetes workloads, owning DevOps solutions from inception to delivery, and partnering with internal development teams. You'll monitor system performance and costs while continuously optimizing with development team partners.

The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of experience with strong expertise in multiple programming languages (C++, Python, Java), Kubernetes, cloud platforms (particularly GCP), and various DevOps tools. Experience with build automation, observability tools, and package management is essential.
