Confirmed Backend Engineer - Discover

BlaBlaCar, the world's leading community-based travel platform, is seeking a Confirmed Backend Engineer to join their Discover squad. As part of the Discover squad, you'll be instrumental in creating first impressions through the platform's landing pages, working on a system that aggregates and presents carpool, bus, and future train travel options.

The position requires expertise in Java development and microservices architecture, with a focus on building scalable and reliable landing pages. You'll be working in a dynamic environment alongside 3 Frontend Engineers, 3 Backend Engineers, and a Product Manager, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring you to drive technical discoveries and ensure successful project delivery.
