Responsibilities For R&D Software Engineer - Source Code Management (SCM) Tools Engineer
- Improve VCF developers engagement with SCM and Build infrastructure
- Analyze business problems and spearhead engineering efforts
- Implement scripts, tools and services to address productivity and operational risks
- Design, review, and code solutions with other Sr. Engineering leaders
- Educate colleagues on SCM features, tools, and practices
- Implement productivity solutions for branching, merging, code-review
- Build and operate tools for SCM migration from Perforce to GitHub
- Create and improve observability of tools and services
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Create high-quality documentation
Requirements For R&D Software Engineer - Source Code Management (SCM) Tools Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 12+ years of experience
- Experience with Source Code Management systems (Perforce, GitHub)
