Responsibilities For Data Engineer, Healthcare

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines for healthcare data integration from diverse EMR/EHR sources
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with healthcare standards (HL7,FHIR) and regulatory requirements (HIPAA)
  • Partner with AI engineers, software developers, and clinical teams to ensure data readiness and accessibility for analytics

Requirements For Data Engineer, Healthcare

Python
  • 4+ years in data engineering, with at least 2 years specifically in healthcare technology
  • Deep proficiency in ETL tools, big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop), SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud services (AWS preferred)
  • Familiarity with healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR) and integration techniques
  • Solid understanding of data security, privacy, and healthcare-specific regulations(HIPAA, HITRUST)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex data engineering challenges efficiently
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Informatics, or related technical field required; Master's or Ph.D. preferred
