Frontend Engineer

Chima is revolutionizing how large enterprises customize and scale their generative AI capabilities. As a Frontend Engineer, you'll join a small but dynamic team where versatility and customer focus are key.

You'll be responsible for developing high-quality user-facing features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Leading the frontend infrastructure, you'll implement new features, manage Storybook, optimize web application performance, and set up application monitoring. Direct customer interaction is crucial as you'll work with developers from startups to large enterprises to understand their needs.

The role offers significant growth potential - you'll work directly with the CEO, CTO, and founding team to help scale the engineering team. The tech stack includes NextJS + Vercel for frontend, Express (NodeJs) and FastAPI (Python) for microservices, Postgres with Prisma ORM, and AWS cloud infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong JavaScript fundamentals who wants to shape the future of enterprise AI infrastructure. You'll have ownership of projects end-to-end while wearing multiple hats, gaining invaluable experience in building an early-stage startup.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of frontend development experience, preferably in startups, with significant expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js. Experience with Python APIs and a customer-first mindset are essential, while OpenAPI and AWS knowledge is a plus.
