Technical Leader Data Engineer - AWS, Azure, Python, Scala , Kafka, Spark, from 12+ Years of experience

Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Analytics team is seeking a Technical Leader to code, own, and manage their big data platform and its applications. The role requires 12+ years of software engineering experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Crafting, coding, deploying, maintaining, and testing system components
• Influencing analytics development by interacting with technical leads and engineers
• Developing software with sophisticated requirements
• Tackling and articulating problems to drive solutions
• Working on cloud-native, scaled-out, and distributed applications using microservice architecture
• Dealing with networking, system expertise, tooling, monitoring, and cloud management
• Working in small, highly technical teams using Agile/Scrum practices

Technical skills required:

• Experience with cloud computing services like AWS, Azure, and building applications in a Microservice architecture
• Experience in building scalable stream or batch processing applications using Spark, EMR, Kinesis, Kafka, Flink, Beam, Cassandra, Redshift, Postgres, Kubernetes, Docker, and Elasticsearch
• Experience with automation, Infrastructure as code, and CI-CD pipelines
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Scala, Java, and other modern programming languages
• Experience with AWS services and their equivalent Azure Services
