Description For Data Scientist - Analytics Engineer

Cyderes (Cyber Defense and Response) is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to join their Managed Services Engineering team. This role involves designing and implementing business visualizations and dashboards to deliver security data insights to clients using Looker. The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, data science, or data analytics engineering, with proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar languages. They should be able to translate business requirements into useful visualizations, provide production support, and assist with data model development and machine learning implementation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing business visualizations and dashboards
  • Providing production support for Looker dashboards and reporting
  • Translating business requirements into visualizations and reports
  • Analyzing and enhancing existing dashboards
  • Assisting with data model development and machine learning implementation
  • Solving complex business intelligence challenges
  • Advocating for efficient and positive user experience
  • Leading technical implementations of roadmap items
  • Collaborating with senior developers to improve codebase and system reliability

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in software development, data science, or data analytics engineering
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar languages
  • Experience with BI tools like PowerBI
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of data analytics and data science
  • Experience with big data platforms like Looker
  • Understanding of dashboard design and UI/UX concepts
  • Familiarity with containerization (Kubernetes / Docker)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles or MSSP experience
  • Familiarity with Google BigQuery and Looker
  • Machine learning experience
