Description For Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is a global organization at the heart of Disney's media business. As a Lead Machine Learning Engineer in the Commerce, Data, and Identity Alliance, you'll drive security and operation anomaly detection initiatives. This role offers an opportunity to develop and deploy machine learning models that help reduce security and operation risk for Disney's services.

You'll be working with teams across commerce, growth, and identity to leverage machine learning solutions that enhance the security posture of services. Based out of New York or Santa Monica offices, you'll be a key leader driving ML initiatives across the team while learning about various security challenges in a streaming organization.

The role combines technical expertise in machine learning with security focus, requiring both deep technical knowledge and leadership skills. You'll be responsible for the full ML lifecycle, from data collection to production deployment, while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust implementation and measurable impact.

Requirements For Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in building, deploying, and evaluating real-world machine learning solutions
  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and other relevant programming languages
  • Experience with data wrangling tools and big data platforms
  • Expertise in ML libraries such as scikit-learn, SciPy
  • Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and data modeling techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
