At Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology (DEEP&T), we're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Commerce, Data & Identity team. This role is crucial in building and maintaining the technological backbone for Disney's media business globally.
As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing scalable data processing pipelines using Apache Spark, handling large volumes of data that power Disney's media, advertising, and distribution businesses. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies in big data processing and cloud computing, specifically with AWS services and tools like Snowflake, Redshift, and Databricks Delta Lake.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on big data processing, strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python, and extensive knowledge of the big data ecosystem including Hadoop and Hive. You should have excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
We offer a competitive compensation package including base salary ranging from $152,200 to $223,600 (varying by location), bonus potential, long-term incentives, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
