Lead Software Engineer - Identity

Technology is at the heart of Disney's past, present, and future. As a Lead Software Engineer in the Identity organization at Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology, you'll be part of a global team building the technological backbone for Disney's media business globally.

The Identity Platform Consolidation squad is responsible for consumer-facing APIs that are stable, performant, and meet business needs while maintaining modern security standards. You'll be working on high-traffic, globally replicated systems that are integral to every user's journey across Disney properties including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, and Parks.

In this role, you'll:

• Drive initiatives to simplify and streamline services throughout the Identity organization
• Make technical and architectural decisions that influence the roadmap
• Lead development of microservices and lambdas in a multi-region cloud environment
• Mentor other engineers and promote best practices
• Work with cutting-edge technologies including Scala, AWS, and functional programming
