Principal Generative AI Platform Architect

Disney Experiences (DX) Tech & Digital is seeking a Principal Generative AI Platform Architect to lead the end-to-end ownership of the Generative AI Platform. This role is part of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center of Excellence and reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Technology with a dotted line to the Director of AI Solutions & Development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architectural vision for the Generative AI Platform
• Design and define the platform's architecture, creating comprehensive blueprints
• Strategically influence technology selection and integration
• Lead development of critical platform components
• Establish best practices and standards for platform development
• Mentor and lead a team of developers and engineers
• Stay at the forefront of Generative AI advancements
• Partner with product teams to prioritize and define platform features
• Ensure platform scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness
• Drive continuous improvement of platform capabilities

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience designing and architecting large-scale, distributed systems
• 3+ years designing and deploying AI/ML/NLP/Deep Learning solutions
• Recognized industry expert in AI, with a record of leading LLM and Generative AI solutions
• Expertise in LLM ecosystems (Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex, AWS Bedrock)
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Strong foundation in agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• Experience with Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and managing large Knowledge Bases
• Expert programming skills in Python, Java, or C++
• In-depth knowledge of MLOps and LLMOps
• Experience with vector databases and data processing techniques for LLMs
• Hands-on experience with LLM application frameworks like Langchain
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable solutions
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field of study and/or equivalent work experience
