Description For Security Engineer, Software Engineer

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Security Engineer to join their Global Information Security (GIS) organization within Enterprise Technology. This role combines software engineering with security expertise to protect Disney's vast entertainment and technology empire.

The position sits within the Security Development and Design team, focusing on protecting network and company assets through security automation and tool development. You'll be working on implementing security controls, developing automation scripts, and building scalable security solutions that help secure Disney's diverse technology landscape.

As a Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for architecting security solutions, automating security controls, and implementing new technologies to support cloud services. The role requires a strong foundation in software development, with expertise in languages like Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and experience with React framework and various databases.

The ideal candidate brings at least 3 years of experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. You should be comfortable with both frontend and backend development, have knowledge of cloud platforms, and understand security best practices.
