Responsibilities:
- Write functional code in .NET framework using C# and have a sharp eye for spotting defects.
- Upgrade, configure, and debug existing systems.
- Make software changes, test, address EOL issues, prepare system documentation, ensure compliance with Gov't security controls, develop secure code and error handling, and recognize vulnerability risks.
- Migrate .Net framework applications to .NET core which is cross platform and carries latest security updates.
- Implement containerization solutions with Docker.
- Work within Linux environments.
- Maintain application software within the sustainment portfolio.
- Use Microsoft Power Platform (MSPP) tools.
- Conduct high-level peer reviews of critical applications on both .Net/C#.
- Collaborate with team members on various aspects of software development.
- Prepare documentation and provide end-user training and support.
- Establish productive working relationships and maintain effective communications with teammates and end-users.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5-7 years' hands-on software development experience across various programming languages, databases, and platforms.
- Experience in C# and .Net along with SharePoint and other software applications.
- Fluent in front-end UI frameworks including Bootstrap and in the use of .Net Framework and .Net Core.
- Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, organizational skills, and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills, proactivity, and ability to acquire new technical skills as needed.
- Must meet all requirements for obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust Clearance.
This 5-6 month contract position offers an opportunity to work on critical applications and contribute to DLH's mission of improving health and national security readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET development, experience with various Microsoft technologies, and the ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
