Cloud Migration Engineer - Contract

Effectual is seeking a Cloud Migration Engineer to join their team as a contractor. This role is integral to helping clients transition from on-premises infrastructure to AWS cloud native services. The position involves working with technical leaders to implement, manage, and migrate workloads to AWS environments while maintaining optimal migration strategies for diverse application portfolios.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and migration services, bringing 4+ years of AWS expertise and 2+ years of hands-on experience with AWS migration tools. You'll be responsible for leading clients through Assess, Mobilize, and Migrate phases of AWS MAP migrations, utilizing AWS-native services, containerization, and serverless architectures.

This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and help organizations modernize their infrastructure. You'll be involved in everything from initial assessment to final implementation, working with various AWS services including Migration Hub, Database Migration Service, and cloud-native solutions. The position requires strong technical skills in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash), and a deep understanding of cloud architecture principles.

As a remote position, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing technical leadership to customer engineers.
