Founding Design Engineer

Ekho's lightning-fast vehicle checkout platform has already generated tens of millions in revenue for over 20 leading vehicle brands that depend on our technology to power their online sales channel. As a Founding Design Engineer, you will be a crucial bridge between design and development, responsible for creating beautiful, responsive interfaces while maintaining excellent code quality and performance. You'll define and evolve our design systems, spec new features, and ensure elegant UI/UX across all our products—both buyer-facing and brand/dealership-facing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a shared design resource across all product touchpoints
• Create, refine, and document design systems and UX patterns using Figma
• Implement pixel-perfect interfaces in collaboration with backend engineers
• Develop and maintain responsive React.js web applications
• Build reusable front-end component libraries
• Mentor junior designers and frontend developers

Required Skills:

• Expert in Figma for design systems and UX flows
• Strong experience with React and production deployments
• Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization
• Excellence in design, typography, and visual hierarchy
• Modern JavaScript/TypeScript development expertise
• Active portfolio showcasing design and development work
