EMW, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist for their location in The Hague, Netherlands. This is a contract position running from April 13, 2025 to December 31, 2025, requiring NATO Secret clearance. The role focuses on applying machine learning techniques, data science, and engineering practices to develop and maintain AI systems. The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies, including various Python frameworks for data science and machine learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning systems, creating data pipelines, and contributing to the organization's technological advancement. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex data science projects while collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The position requires a blend of technical expertise in machine learning, programming skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts.
Responsibilities For Data Scientist
- Applies existing machine learning techniques to new problems and datasets
- Evaluates the outcomes and performance of machine learning systems
- Identifies issues and recommends improvements to machine learning systems
- Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors programs/scripts
- Monitors and reports on progress
- Identifies issues related to ML development activities
- Proposes practical ML solutions to resolve issues
- Elicits requirements for systems and software / ML life cycle working practices
- Defines the ML modules needed for an integration build
- Applies data science techniques to new problems and datasets
- Applies data engineering standards and tools to create and maintain data pipelines
- Supports monitoring of emerging technologies
Requirements For Data Scientist
- NATO Secret security clearance
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and statistical analysis techniques
- Hands-on experience in programming, machine learning and software engineering
- Experience with Python Data Science frameworks (pytorch/tensorflow, huggingface, langchain, autogen, pandas/polars, pySpark, scikit-learn)
- Experience with developing, optimizing and maintaining AI pipelines
- Experience in measuring model performance and assessments
- Experience with Version Control, MLOps and CI/CD
- Experience with container technologies (Docker) and Kubernetes
- Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow, Argo)
- Experience with REST API development
- Experience with front-end development
