Description For MISP Engineer (NS)

EMW, Inc. is seeking a MISP Engineer with NATO SECRET clearance for their security operations. This is a contract position running from March 24, 2025 to December 31, 2025, based in Mons, Belgium. The role involves managing MISP (Malware Information Sharing Platform) installations, developing automation scripts, and supporting NATO exercises. The position requires extensive experience in cyber security and system administration, with a focus on LAMP stack technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining multiple MISP servers, providing user community support, and delivering training sessions. The role includes travel requirements within Belgium and to other NATO countries for exercise support. This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional to work on critical infrastructure and contribute to NATO's cyber security initiatives.

Responsibilities For MISP Engineer (NS)

  • Manage and maintain multiple MISP software servers
  • Configure and manage MISP instances for NATO exercises
  • Update MISP software and support change management process
  • Maintain ansible playbooks for MISP setup
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation
  • Provide support to NATO managed MISP instances user-community
  • Lead MISP Operators team during exercises
  • Deliver online MISP training sessions
  • Support preparation of training packages

Requirements For MISP Engineer (NS)

  • Active NATO SECRET security clearance
  • More than 5 years experience in technical understanding of cyber threats to web-based products
  • Experience as sysadmin with LAMP servers - Linux, Apache, MySQL/MariaDB, PHP
  • Excellent python scripting skills
  • Experience in MVC software development and code review of web applications in PHP and SQL
  • Good understanding of cyber security principles
  • Excellent organizing and communication skills
  • Good communications and writing skills in English
