Description For Director, Full Stack Engineering

We are seeking a Director, Engineering – Personal Card Technology to lead engineering teams in building high-performance systems and customer-facing digital applications. This role is part of Wealth Cash Solutions - Personal Cards, where we're undertaking a multi-year initiative to enhance our debit and credit card programs. The focus includes improving customer service channels, digital experiences (web and mobile), and vendor partnership optimization.

The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of functional experience in product management and/or technology, with expertise in software engineering, particularly in API development, data-intensive applications, and cloud-based solutions. They should be proficient in various programming languages (Java/Scala/Python, Go) and have deep experience with AWS architecture patterns.

Key responsibilities include providing engineering expertise and thought leadership, collaborating with Product Management and Design teams, ensuring technical excellence, and driving innovation. The role involves leading teams through organizational complexity, making critical technical decisions, and maintaining high standards for security, scalability, and resilience.

Leadership aspects include talent management, performance evaluation, career development, and fostering an inclusive culture that promotes learning and innovation. The position requires strong partnership abilities across business units and a track record of inspiring creativity and continuous improvement in engineering teams.

This is a hybrid role based in Westlake, TX, requiring onsite presence every other week.
