Director, Full Stack Engineering

Fidelity's Workplace Investing (WI) Digital Platforms Technology team is seeking a hands-on Director of Full Stack Engineering to help deliver the best digital experience for their Employer Digital products. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, focusing on building and implementing best-in-class engineering solutions.

The position sits within the WI Digital Platforms team, which designs, develops, implements, and supports Fidelity's suite of Digital applications. The team is known for its innovative approach and continuous improvement culture, working with modern technologies to build powerful tools and deliver outstanding user experiences.

As a Director of Full Stack Engineering, you'll be responsible for leading the definition and implementation of engineering solutions while enabling engineering excellence across the chapter. The role requires deep technical expertise in full stack development, particularly with Java, Angular, and Spring frameworks, combined with strong leadership abilities to mentor and grow engineering talent.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with proven expertise in building high-transaction applications and responsive front-end solutions. You'll need to demonstrate strong architectural thinking, particularly around scalability and performance, while maintaining excellent communication and collaboration skills.
