Description For Director, Mobile Architecture

Fidelity Enterprise Architecture (FEA) is seeking an experienced Mobile Architect for a hands-on leadership role driving the mobile platform strategy. The position involves unifying mobile app architecture across Fidelity's 12 distinct apps, which currently use various architectures from fully native to hybrid/native and full hybrid apps. The role is critical in developing a shared platform that can be used across different business units serving retail brokerage, employers (401k providers), and other financial institutions.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing the vision for a unified mobile architecture that enables sharing experiences across apps. This involves working with multiple stakeholders to design and build foundational reusable components that can be consumed by both hybrid and native applications. The role requires deep technical expertise in mobile development, architecture design, and API implementation, combined with the ability to influence and collaborate across organizational boundaries.

Key technical areas include mobile application architecture, SDK development, API design (REST/GraphQL), and experience with both native (iOS/Android) and hybrid frameworks. The position offers the opportunity to shape Fidelity's mobile strategy and deliver industry-leading mobile apps while working in a hybrid environment that balances onsite and remote work.

The role comes with comprehensive benefits including 401(k) with company match, complete healthcare coverage, parental leave benefits, and student loan assistance. Fidelity offers a collaborative culture that values diverse perspectives and provides opportunities for professional growth and development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mobile architect who wants to make a significant impact on how millions of customers interact with their finances through mobile applications while working for a stable, respected financial services leader.
