Director, NX Workspace Engineer - Front End

Fidelity Investments is seeking an experienced technical lead front-end engineer to join their Web Platform team. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic direction-setting for front-end engineering excellence within Fidelity's web platform.

The position requires a seasoned professional with 10+ years of front-end development experience, particularly with modern JavaScript frameworks and NX Workspaces. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in front-end technologies including Angular, TypeScript, and component architecture, along with strong DevOps knowledge and experience with testing frameworks.

As a Director/Technical Lead Engineer, you'll be responsible for empowering engineers across Fidelity by providing foundational libraries, frameworks, and tools that enable high-velocity, high-quality development. You'll work directly with the NX Workspace Web Platform team to create a unified developer experience, implementing standardized tools for testing, development environments, and CI/CD pipelines.

The role offers an opportunity to directly impact developer productivity across multiple product areas and business units at Fidelity. You'll collaborate with product owners and architects while providing technical mentorship to junior team members. The position requires both strategic thinking to align with long-term business vision and hands-on technical expertise to prototype and implement solutions.
