Description For DevOps Engineer

Fluence is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their global software engineering team focused on energy storage solutions. This role combines Platform Engineering, SRE, and DevOps responsibilities, requiring hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, automation, and modern development practices. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge energy storage technology while being part of a distributed global team.

They will work extensively with AWS services, container technologies, and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Ansible. The role requires a strong background in DevOps practices, with at least 4 years of experience driving and implementing solutions rather than just using tools.

The position includes an on-call rotation and requires flexibility in working hours to coordinate with team members in India, US, and Europe.

Key technical requirements include expertise in AWS services, CICD pipelines, container technologies, and infrastructure as code. The role demands strong communication skills, as the team operates globally and needs to effectively collaborate across technical and non-technical audiences. The position offers the opportunity to drive change, improve processes, and take ownership of problems while working with modern technologies in the energy storage sector.

The role combines technical expertise with a strong focus on customer service, as the team acts as a force multiplier for development teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who wants to make a significant impact in a growing energy technology company while working with cutting-edge tools and practices.
