Description For Lead Performance Development Engineer

As a Lead Performance Development Engineer – Vehicle Dynamics, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of automotive innovation. Reporting to the Development Manager – Vehicle Performance, you'll lead the development of Vehicle Dynamics hardware and software to meet defined attribute targets.

Working from our offices near Leamington Spa in a hybrid capacity, you'll collaborate with Vehicle Dynamics Programme, Attribute & Simulation teams to plan, deliver, and validate driven vehicle dynamics attributes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside industry visionaries in a rapidly growing scale-up environment.

The role demands expertise in Vehicle Dynamics Development, with responsibilities spanning from leading development and tuning plans to engaging in competitor benchmarking and cross-functional collaboration. You'll be instrumental in delivering engineering solutions while working with state-of-the-art hardware and software tools.

Responsibilities For Lead Performance Development Engineer

  • Lead the Vehicle Dynamics Development and Tuning Plan
  • Lead the development of Vehicle Dynamics hardware tune in line with attribute targets
  • Understand Attribute & System tests within the overall attribute validation process
  • Engage in competitor benchmarking
  • Engage in workstreams within multi-disciplined cross-functional attribute/system team
  • Be a key member of Performance Development Team
  • Deliver robust Engineering DVP in line with master asset timing plan
  • Support Test Facility nomination
  • Support Issue resolution

Requirements For Lead Performance Development Engineer

  • Experience in Vehicle Dynamics Development
  • Degree in Engineering or Similar
  • Experience using data acquisition and instrumentation systems
  • Experience with K&C data, subjective ride and handling assessments and spring/damper hardware tuning
