Compensation is highly competitive, ranging from $187,850 to $237,575 annually, plus meaningful equity reflecting the early-stage startup nature of the position. Responsibilities For Founding ML Engineer - AI
- Define and evolve AI experimentation strategy
- Design and implement novel fine-tuning approaches using Gather's internal data
- Mentor and inspire other engineers
- Share learnings through internal demos, documentation, and publications
Requirements For Founding ML Engineer - AI
- Strong intuition about large models behavior at scale
- Hands-on LLM fine-tuning and debugging experience
- Experience with fine-tuning frameworks (TRL, LoRA/QLoRA, Axolotl)
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and ML frameworks
